Medicare Rebates & Private Health Insurance
As Midwife Alex is an Endorsed Midwife, Medicare Rebates are available for antenatal and postnatal appointments under 6 weeks postpartum.
Rebates for medicare range from $75.65 to $166.80 depending on the type of visit. Extended rebates up to $337.36 (postnatal home visit) occur if the medicare threshold has been met.
Midwife Alex is also recognised by several Private Health Insurance Companies. This will depend on you coverage and services used.
Breastfeeding Classes are run at Little Matters once a month.

Little Matters in Bruce, ACT have designated parking right out the front of the clinic. Less than 10-15 meters from your car to the clinic!
The area has been recently renovated and is pram friendly.
There is also designated disabled parking with the clinic wheelchair friendly. -
Midwife Alex runs a small breastfeeding class once a month at Little Matters in Bruce, ACT.
These groups a limited to 4-5 people and are focused on being a women’s circle.
You will learn about the basics of lactation, positioning for breast feeding, when to seek assistance, how identify if there is an issue, a brief overview of lactation tools on the market and what to know if deciding to pump.
